Cooking Thursday #3: Slow Cooker Ribs

cooking_thursday

I’ve been making these for a while now and they always turn out tasty.  It’s a great alternative to grilling ribs (like now, when it’s below freezing outside lol.)  You could shred the meat up and serve it on buns as well.

IMG_5261 It’s not the most appetizing pic, but I tell ‘ya they taste great.  ;)

Slow Cooker Ribs

4 pounds country style pork spareribs (or less)
1/2 cup frozen seasoning mix
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp ground mustard
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika

Place the seasoning mix in the cooker and top with ribs.  Mix remaining ingredients and pour over all.  I usually cook this on high for about an hour and then turn it to low for the rest of the time.   Mmm!  Check out Sandra at Diary of a SAHM for more great recipes.

  1. This sounds good! Next months Angel food boxes will have ribs so I'll be trying this one out for sure. Thanks for sharing.
