School Portraits 2010-2011

nbts125

This is week three of the Not Back-to-School Blog Hop over at Heart of the Matter and it’s time for sharing school photos.

I’ve seen other families have the kiddos pose with a sign to indicate the year or their grade level and decided to let the boys do that this year (well not so much decided as remembered lol.)  I wrote their grade on a blank piece of cardstock and let them spend some of the morning decorating their signs.

It was hilarious actually.  At first the boys kept asking, “Is this school?”  “Are we doing school?” and looking at me warily, but finally they got into it and I am pretty sure they enjoyed themselves.

Ds3 got so involved that you actually can’t even make out the “4” I put on the sign for his grade level.  He put a big X over a page of homework and drew a lot about playing games lol.

They turned out pretty good.  They posed for me under the tree house, which in no way compares to last year’s pictures taken at Disney World!  For the record, we weren’t able to take our yearly Disney trip this year and boy are we all suffering from withdrawal.  But that’s a whole other blog hop.

We start school next Monday so I’m off to finalize some lesson plans and day dream about all the summer fun we’ve had.

  3. LOL! A drawback of homeschooling is that you ALWAYS have to be on the lookout for your mom trying to trick you into doing school!
