Product Review and Giveaway: Breyers Smooth & Dreamy

imagehandler

Thanks to Mom Central, the boys and I got to try out a new and super tasty ice cream treat from Breyers…Smooth & Dreamy Ice Cream Bars.  This new line of treats lives up to the creamy and all natural goodness you expect from Breyers, but has the added benefit of being low in fat and calories.  Believe me, these treats do not taste like they are low calorie snacks at all!  We sampled the Chocolate Covered Strawberry bars and they were so good.  The strawberry ice cream had swirls of real strawberries in it and was covered in a delicious shell of chocolate.  Mmm.  All with no artificial flavors or colors and only 120 calories.  A yummy indulgence that comes with no guilt.  There are lots of flavors to choose from and even some ice cream sandwiches as well.  Be sure and check out their website to see all the varieties and enter into a sweepstakes to win cool instant prizes.

Okay, here is the best part.  I have 4 coupons for a free box of treats to giveaway.  All you have to do is leave me a comment and make sure I can get in touch with you.  I will announce the four winners on Sunday July 25th.   So comment away.  You know you want some of these treats!

Product Review and Giveaway: Nature’s Peak Frozen Fruit

Thanks to Mom Central, the boys and I had the chance to experience a little summer goodness on this dreary winter day.  We were asked to try out Nature’s Peak frozen fruit and spread the word about this super new product.

IMG_5108 We received the Paradise Fruit Medley and the Sunburst Mango.  Mmm, mango.  Right off the bat the boys begged for a smoothie.

IMG_5107 It’s so very easy to make a smoothie and it’s a great way to get some nutrition into my sometimes picky boys.  For this one I used some fruit juice, a couple of vanilla yogurts, and the bag of Nature’s Peak Paradise Fruit Medley.

IMG_5111 IMG_5113 I think he likes it.  :)  Well, you may be asking, just what is so different about Nature’s Peak frozen fruit.  I’ll tell ‘ya.  First off, the variety.  Not only do they have bags of single fruit, but also some of the neatest mixes I’ve seen like the Paradise Fruit Medley (peaches, kiwi, mango, pineapple and cantaloupe,) Berry Quartet (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries,) and Sun Ripened Trio (strawberries, peaches and mangos.)  You couldn’t put together those combos yourself!

What I like the best?  The fruit actually tastes good by itself.  I usually only buy frozen fruit to use in smoothies because, honestly, it just doesn’t taste good once you thaw it.  It’s too ripe and mushy or not ripe enough and bland.  I suspect the companies just throw in the fruit they can’t sell when it’s in season.  But I let the bag of Nature’s Peak mango defrost and ate it alone…well, ds4 and I did lol.  He is my fellow mango lover in the house.  It was truly tasty!  The pieces were all just ripe enough and juicy.  A little treat during the season of oranges and bananas lol.

Be sure and check out the Nature’s Peak website for delicious recipes and the low-down on all the nutritional goodness in their products.  Right now the product is available in select areas; visit this link for more info.

Product Review and Giveaway: Zhu Zhu Pets

Okay, here is that review and giveaway I promised.  Thanks to the wonderful people at MomSelect, my boys were able to try out a cute new toy this week…Zhu Zhu pets.  They are adorable little battery operated hamsters that have the coolest “habitat” to play in.  Check it out.

IMG_2182 First, a little bit of honesty.  This is what my living room looked like after the box was opened and all the pieces of the habitat were assembled.  Yikes!  Assembly is not hard (once you understand what a U connector is lol) but it did take awhile to put together all the cool pieces and my legs fell asleep several times.  Just keeping it real. ;)

IMG_2186 Here is the main section of the habitat, the kitchen/bedroom.  From this section you can connect tunnels that lead to really fun things for your hamster to play with.

IMG_2532 IMG_2533

Here is said hamster.  Is that not cute or what?  His little pink nose there has a sensor that lets him know where he is in the habitat so he will perform certain acts in certain places.  For instance, when he first enters the main habitat you hear a doorbell…when he enters the “sleep chamber” he snores.  Not to get graphic or anything, but there is the hamster’s, uh, undercarriage maybe?  Anyway, he rolls happily along, making the sweetest little chirps and beeps and hamster noises.

IMG_2192 Here he is going down his slide.

IMG_2191 Oh yeah, you aren’t seeing things, that is the pet’s exercise ball.  What a hoot watching it roll all around your home.

IMG_2188 I think this is my favorite part.  The habitat has a car and garage attachment.  The pet rolls down the tube, into the car (you hear “beep beep” and an engine starting) then the pet “drives” the car out of the garage doors and all over the place.  It is a-dor-a-ble.

If you go to the Zhu Zhu pets website you can see them live in action.  Because when I tried to upload a video there were lots of red x’s and warning boxes and I got scared and quit…so I’m leaving it to the professionals.  :)

Here is my review.  This is a cute toy and a neat new idea.  A wonderful way to satisfy a little one’s desire for a hamster without having to actually feed, clean up after and eventually dispose of a real pet.  They work really well and stood up to my boys so that’s saying something there. ;)  The entire habitat does take up quite a bit of room so be aware of that.  Just how much did my boys enjoy the pets?  When they walked in the door from our trip to Disney both of them ran straight for the habitat and started playing with the Zhu Zhus.  I think that warrants a positive review.

Now for the fun part!  I get to give away one hamster and one slide/ramp.  I keep my giveaways simple.  Just leave me a comment and make sure I have a way to contact you.  This giveaway will run from Aug 25 to Sunday Aug 30th.  I will announce the winner on Monday Aug 31st.  Good luck!
