Yep, spring is officially over and so is the 2009 Spring Reading Thing challenge hosted at Callapidder Days. Let’s see how I did!
These are the books I picked for the challenge:
Amy Knapp’s Family Organizing Handbook
Absolutely Organized (I see some kind of trend here…)
The Devil In The Junior League
The Friday Night Knitting Club
This is what I actually read:
Miss Read Over The Gate
Miss Read Village Diary
The Reader
The Kite Runner
The Ladies of Missalonghi
The Widow of the South
On Gold Mountain
Not too shabby! And technically, I did skim through those organizational books I had on my list. I hardly ever get all the way through a non-fiction book. I skim, take in what is important to me, and call it done. :)
My favorite of the bunch? Probably The Ladies of Missalonghi, simply because it had such an interesting and unexpected ending. I enjoyed The Kite Runner for it’s well written and emotional story. The Miss Read books were just fun reads. :)
I enjoyed my reading this spring and I enjoyed visiting fellow SRT participants. Thank, Katrina, it was fun as always.
Good job! I have a hard time reading straight through organizational books. For me they work better when I can use them for reference, or just read the chapters/sections that I can apply right then...
ReplyDeleteThanks for being part of the challenge!
