Homecoming

The boys and I took a field trip this afternoon…not your typical museum or historical building, though.  We went to welcome my nephew home from his (second) tour in Iraq.

IMG_3212 The armory went all out for the event, the USO provided food, passed out flowers and flags and just overall it was exciting.

IMG_3215 The local media was there in full force…but gesh, Channel 3 dude and cameraman, you are totally blocking our view!

IMG_3217 My camera totally blurred out on me, but I caught a shot of my nephew as he entered the building.  (And I’m with you, if I use the word “totally” one more time, I’ll scream!)

IMG_3221 The mayor and commander tortured the guys a while longer and finally they were dismissed.

IMG_3222 So good to have him home.  :)  If you click on the pic, you’ll see my boys express their joy in their own special ways lol.
