Muffin Tin Monday: Kabob Patterns

This week’s theme for Muffin Tin Monday is Kabobs.  I’ve also seen it spelled as kebab.  Weird.  Anyway, as usual Monday rolled around and I hadn’t planned for this muffin tin meal and I’m standing in the kitchen arguing with myself…

Oh, I’m just not going to do it this week.

But you know how much he loves it!

But I can’t think of anything, my fridge is bare, and I can’t figure out the correct spelling of kabob!

Stop complaining and just do it.

Stop telling me what to do!  Oh, hey I thought of something.

And just like that the light bulb went off and I had an idea…I could make patterns on the kabobs and turn it into a math lesson to boot! 

  Okay, I made a pattern of pb&j sandwich, grape and granola bar bite on three kabobs and left the last sandwich triangle and some extra grapes and granola for him to copy the pattern on his own kabob.  Not very pretty, but he’s a boy, he’s not into pretty.  ;)

Trickier than it looks lol!

Mmm, kabobs make even the humble pb&j so very tasty.

And then of course, being a boy and all, we must practice our sword techniques with the empty kabob.
