Home Again

Thank you for all your concerns and sweet comments.  Ds2 is back home and recuperating nicely.  I am so very thankful that this whole experience went rather smoothly and there seemed to be an unseen guidance in it all.  Ds just complained of a simple pain in his belly and was running only a low fever to begin with, but something made me call the dr. (and there they discovered his white blood count was up.)  His symptoms actually improved (fever went away, pain lessoned) but the dr. said he wanted to do a cat scan anyway just to be sure (and there they discovered the infected appendix.)

And I cannot praise the miracle that is laparoscopic surgery enough!  When I had my appendix out in college my recovery was long and painful.  Ds has been almost pain free, in the hospital only 24 hours and won’t have a big scar.  But he does have quite a story for his friends when he returns to school on Tuesday lol.  :)  Happy weekend everyone.
