Well that’s stretching it a bit. It was more like a morning out. Okay, okay, it was about 25 minutes out. But for Katy, that’s a big deal!
Katy is our senior cat. Old, fat, ornery. And for about a year now she has decided she is an indoor cat. Hasn’t stepped outside a bit. Until now. It was a lovely morning, Mr. Fluffy and Mimi were playing on the porch and I had the door open so they could come and go as they please.
Imagine my shock when Katy started peeking her head out. And then actually walking through the door!
She moved toward the sunlight.
She sniffed at the crepe myrtle for a while and wondered why she had kept cooped up so long. She decided right then and there that the outdoors was the best place ever!
Nah, she turned around, came right back in and curled up for a nap. :) Being the senior cat has it’s perks.
For more kitty fun head over to Gattina’s and Happy Cats On Tuesday!
Ahh, Katy knows wherever you go, home sweet home is still best!
ReplyDeleteWow Katy, how lucky you are! It's a kind of adventure day and now for sure you deserve a good nap!

Luna - WE LOVE LUNA
Sometimes I wonder what happens in a cat's mind ! Pookie too has decided to be an inside cat but once in a blue moon she puts her nose outside, but never for long. We have a cat flap so everybody can come and go, but she prefers the safety of the house probably. And her sister is always outside !!!
ReplyDeleteI can see why Katy's zonked out! That was some adventure! :)
ReplyDeleteKaty knows what she wants and doesn't want, We seniors, cat and human live by this rule, at least I do.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful stroll outside. It must be nice to enjoy the fresh air...and them come back inside to relax.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great adventure! I hope she enjoyed the walk !!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, Katy gets what Katy wants! Love her attitude.
