It’s That Time Of Year

Pain reliever, disinfecting wipes and the ice crusher=first sicknesses of the season.  Ds4 has a little something going on, a fever and cough kind of thing that kept us both up most of the night (right now he is on the verge of losing his voice, which has him both worried and stoked about all the “Darth Vader” sounds he can produce lol.)  We are just praying it doesn’t spread to ds3 (wishful thinking I know) as he always seems to turn the simplest cold into a trip to the emergency room.

Ds3 was lamenting the fact that our Christmas decorations are still in the garage (in limbo due to the impending shed building adventure) so we crafted a makeshift Advent calendar today.

I just covered our bulletin board with some wrapping paper (should have picked something a little less busy lol) and then cut 25 Christmas trees out of green construction paper and labeled them 1-25.  Under each I will put a post-it-note with a simple little holiday activity for the day.  Today it was “drink hot cocoa with a peppermint stick stirrer.”

Mmm.
