Homeschool Preschool: African Safari

Our preschool project last month was a focus on African animals, so of course we went on a safari!  I found some cute things on Currclick, a unit called “continental hop.”

100_8157 Here is ds’s suitcase and passport.  Super cute!  The suitcase is actually a file folder, and he kept all his essential materials for the safari in it.

100_8159 Such as this safari guide!  To the right of the guide you see his map of Africa where we tracked our travels.

100_8158Here is the inside of the guide.  Each animal had their own page where we recorded their home, food, and interesting facts.

I had ds do worksheets related to the letters of each animal’s name.  Here he is working on his E’s for elephant.

At Crayola.com I found a cute giraffe craft for ds.  He painted the patterns, we glued them to some recycled cereal box, cut the pieces out and voila!  A cute giraffe to play with.

Here are a few more links to help you on your own safari adventure.
