Cats On Tuesday: Portraits

onthelooue0zz8

All four kitties were sitting around our front yard the other evening.  I wish I had had my camera on hand to get a true family portrait with all 4, but when I went in to get it, Winston ran in the house…so much for that lol.  I did manage to get some good shots of the 3 who stayed out with me.

IMG_7076 Smokey is an excellent model!  He will sit and pose for me quite well.

IMG_7078 Here is his contemplative profile shot.

IMG_7075 Here I captured the little brown dot on his eyeball…don’t know what it is, but he’s always had it.

IMG_7065 Mimi is normally a wonderful model, but she kept slouching in this session.

IMG_7072 IMG_7085 Oooh, she looks so serious, but I know she is my sweetie.

IMG_7080 Katy is always the most difficult to capture on film in a flattering manner, but I thought this one was pretty.  She and Mimi both have green eyes, but the shades have a subtle difference.

  1. It is tough, very tough to get all cats to be still in one photo if you have more than 2 or 3. But who knows one day...
    Keep trying!

  2. They are a beautiful family! Trying to get photos of cats is so hard....they love to turn their head the wrong way, get up and walk towards you, and anything else they can think of to ruin the photo!

  3. They are all so beautiful. Isn't it funny how we sometimes see the possibilty of a great picture but by the time we get our camera, the cats or dogs have moved. They could care less!

  5. They are all beautiful, and yes it is hard to get
them all in one shot! Last Fall I actually got all three of the youngest cats together in a photo. A miracle! Good luck especially if they are young cats and always on the move! :)

  6. My cats never model either, I have to take them by surprise anyway if you ask a cat to do something she wouldn't do it right away but maybe in a months, lol ! Mimi is also a tuxi, like Rosie !
