Product Review: Hickory Farms Gift Box

Hickory Farms has always been a part of my family’s holiday traditions.  My parents have given and received the yummy gift boxes every year, and I know the holidays are close when the Hickory Farms kiosk appears in the mall (my favorite has always been the cheese ball!)  This year I am happy to report that Hickory Farms has a line of Military Gift Boxes that they will ship for free to any APO and FPO addresses.  What a special way to make a family member or friend serving overseas feel a little more at home this holiday.  When dh and I were first married he was in the Air Force and stationed in England.  We spent our first 3 Christmases away from the US and I can say for sure that a Hickory Farms Gift Box would be a very welcome sight.

We received the Home For The Holidays Gift Box for this review.  It arrived in a simply adorned but elegant box and contained a delicious variety of sausages, crackers, cheese and mustards.

IMG_0642 IMG_0643 While a box like this would have held a place of honor on my parent’s holiday table, my boys did not stand on ceremony and dug right in lol!  They lunched on the savory crackers topped with Summer Beef Sausage, a bit of each of the four cheeses and a smattering of the gourmet mustards (Honey Pineapple was the fave.)  Dessert was the little strawberry candies.  :)  Just as I remember, each selection was unique and delicious and definitely tasted like “home.”

IMG_0644 The inside of the gift box lid describes how the packaging is eco-friendly and encourages consumers to re-purpose the box.

IMG_0648 I don’t think this is what they had in mind, Katy.  Anyway, Katy and I applaud Hickory Farms for showing an interest in Mother Earth, and we promise to put the sturdy box to a good use.  Be sure and visit the Hickory Farms site to see the selection of Military Gift Boxes and take advantage of the free shipping to APO and FPO addresses to make a service member feel more at home this holiday season.

“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Hickory Farms and received a signature gift box from Hickory Farms to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

  1. I didn't even think of something like this for sending to my son who is in Afghanistan. Thank you so much for the idea.

    Visiting from the crew!
